On June 20, 2026, the Locations Foundation welcomed 130 children, mentors, and chaperones from Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii (BBBS Hawaii) to a private screening of “Toy Story 5” at Consolidated Theatres Kapolei.

The annual Movie Day event brought together local children and their families for an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and community connection. For many families served by BBBS Hawaii, opportunities to simply enjoy time together can be both meaningful and rare. Events like these strengthen relationships, celebrate mentorship, and remind children that an entire community is cheering them on.

To make the experience even more memorable, BBBS Hawaii hosted a Toy Story-themed costume contest during check-in, encouraging attendees to arrive dressed as their favorite characters from the beloved franchise.

Before the movie began, costume contest winners were announced and awarded prizes provided by the Locations Foundation. The excitement and creativity on display helped create a festive atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable movie experience.

In addition to supporting the event, we were honored to present a $5,000 donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii in support of its mission to create and nurture one-to-one mentoring relationships that empower young people to achieve their full potential.

Our partnership with BBBS Hawaii and the annual Movie Day event is one of our most meaningful and longstanding collaborations, and we’re proud to have helped to create lasting memories for these special keiki.

About Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii

Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii supports keiki 6 years old and up through one-to-one mentoring relationships that support their social and emotional development. Youth-centered programs help keiki create and achieve goals through the connection and support of their mentors. Each child, mentor and family unit is guided through the process of enrollment, volunteerism and support by staff to ensure that the social and emotional needs of youth are being met and that every keiki has an opportunity to reach their full potential.
