Our Locations Foundation volunteers pitched in to spread cheer and create special memories for local children involved in foster care at the 26th annual Family Programs Hawaii holiday party. On Sunday, December 8, 2024, more than 1,200 volunteers from various companies and organizations came together at the Neal Blaisdell Center in Honolulu to create holiday magic for 900 keiki in Oahu’s foster care system. The event featured festive decorations, favorite characters, gift-wrapped presents, activities and games, holiday music and delicious foods.

Making the Season Bright

Led by Locations Foundation Vice President Jodee Farm and Advisory Board Member Cannie Chum, our team of 34 volunteers manned the cotton candy station. Throughout the day, our team served up puffy pink and blue clouds of cotton candy—along with plenty of smiles and enthusiasm.

“We’re proud to partner with Family Programs Hawaii again this year,” said Jodee. “The holidays can be a challenging time for children involved in the foster care system. The many volunteers who come together to make this season a bit brighter for these keiki truly embody the holiday spirit. It’s an honor and a joy to be a part of this special celebration year after year.”

In addition to providing manpower at the event, the Locations Foundation also made a donation of $10,000 to Family Programs Hawaii to support their important work across the island.

Mahalo to our Volunteers

In addition to Jodie and Cannie, Locations Foundation volunteers included: Catherine Pumaras, Cari Tanabe, Carol Hayashi, Chad Takesue and family, Cheryl Hunt, Cindy Fullmer, Dan Padua, Dori Fujimori, Hiroko Manuszewski, Jennifer Li, John Jacobson, Laycee Pasion, Nancy Nguyen, Noa Hussey and family, Priscilla Wassman, Shawn Baker and family, and Shiho Wang and family.

A big mahalo to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy. As we look ahead to the new year, the Locations Foundation remains committed to making a positive impact in our local communities. Together, we can create more moments of happiness and connection for families in need.
