Locations Foundation Shines at Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii’s “Bowl For Kids’ Sake”

On Saturday, September 13, Locations Foundation volunteers slipped on their bowling shoes and light-up accessories to take part in Bowl for Kids’ Sake, an annual event benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii. The theme of this year’s event, which took place at Aiea Bowl, was “Glow for Good.” With a $5,000 donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii, the Foundation served as a Galaxy Sponsor.

Our volunteers have participated in Bowl for Kids’ Sake for more than a decade. It’s just one of several Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii events throughout the year that we regularly support.

“Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a fun way for the Foundation to come together for a cause close to our hearts—supporting the social and emotional development of Hawaii’s keiki through mentor relationships,” said Kristin Mukai. “It’s also a great way for our volunteers to bond and meet volunteers from other local charitable organizations.”

Our team brought their brightest energy and outfits to this year’s event, earning the Best Dressed Award for our glowing look! Mahalo to our volunteers: Bernadette Hanna, Cindy Fullmer, Crystal Chang, Diana Edwards, Foundation Board Member Jay Miller (Hawaii Mortgage Group), Lead Research Analyst John Jacobson, Foundation Board Member Judy Kumano, Kimiko May, Foundation President Kristin Mukai, Career Development Strategist Kiki King, Maria Vuong (Locations Property Management), Marie Elaine Guerrero (Locations Property Management), Foundation Board Member Megumi Nekotani, Priscilla Wassman and Chief Administration Officer Renee Dona.

The Locations Foundation is grateful for the opportunity to support this inspiring organization and its work in the community—and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
