Locations Foundation Partners With Weed & Seed Hawaii for Heroes & Helpers Holiday Shopping Spree
The Locations Foundation was proud to support Weed & Seed Hawaii with their Heroes & Helpers holiday shopping experience on December 6, 2025.
This meaningful annual event pairs children in need with community “heroes”—Honolulu Police Department officers and other volunteers—for a special morning of holiday-gift shopping. Held at Target in Salt Lake, before the store opened to the public, children from Kalihi roamed the store with officers and volunteers to select gifts for themselves and family members. A photo opp with Santa made the morning extra special, creating lasting memories and reinforcing positive relationships and community support systems.
Mahalo to the following Locations agents, employees, and their family members who generously gave their time to help make this event a huge success: Ayumi Yamane, Bernadette Hanna, Cindy Fullmer, Dan Padua, Judy Kumano, Kristin Mukai, Noa Hussey and Sunny Lee-Oshiro.
“Weed & Seed’s mission is closely aligned with the mission of the Locations Foundation, and we’re honored to stand alongside them in their efforts to build stronger, safer communities and brighter futures for local keiki,” said event organizer and volunteer Ayumi Yamane. “We look forward to this magical event every year—it’s a beautiful way to spread holiday cheer and aloha spirit!”
